Product Care for Hair Extensions

Proper care of your hair extensions ensures they remain soft, tangle-free, and long-lasting. Follow these guidelines to maintain their quality and appearance.

1. Brushing & Detangling

• Use a wide-tooth comb or a special extension brush to gently detangle.

• Start from the ends and work your way up to prevent shedding or breakage.

• Avoid excessive pulling, especially when wet.

2. Washing & Conditioning

• Frequency: Wash extensions every 10–15 wears or when there’s product buildup.

• Shampoo: Use a sulfate-free, alcohol-free, and paraben-free shampoo to maintain moisture.

• Conditioning: Always apply a hydrating conditioner, avoiding the roots if the extensions are attached.

• Rinsing: Use lukewarm water and avoid excessive scrubbing.

3. Drying

• Pat extensions dry with a microfiber towel—do not rub.

• Let them air-dry whenever possible to prevent heat damage.

• If using a blow dryer, apply a heat protectant and use the lowest heat setting.

4. Styling

• Use heat tools sparingly and always apply a heat protectant spray.

• For curls or waves, opt for heatless styling methods like braiding or rollers.

5. Storage

• Store extensions in a silk or satin bag to prevent tangling.

• Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.

6. Avoiding Damage

• Never sleep with wet extensions, as this can cause tangling and matting.

• Minimize the use of hair sprays, gels, or heavy products that cause buildup.

7. Longevity & Replacement

• With proper care, high-quality human hair extensions can last 6 months to over a year or more.

• Regular maintenance, such as trimming split ends, will keep them looking fresh.
